MIDCENTURY Design

Mid Century design has awed me since I was a young girl strolling through flea markets with my mom. I have been especially inspired by patterning and decals on household items like tea cups and glasses, nubby and bright upholstery, pyrex tupperware, and casserole dishes. The bright colors and thoughtful shapes are simply fun to be around and interact with. This project utilizes the atom- like, playful shapes similar to the ones inspiring designers in the 1950’s.
